(little amount of stress is, of course okay. but sometimes it sucks to be stuck in the middle of finals and exams)
1. Take them away from the source of stress, it will take their minds off stuffs for a while
2. Make sure they stay hydrated. Water can relieve the side effects from stress and can also cool down your body
3. Let them cry however much they want to. Crying is a good way to relieve your bottled emotions. Just let them cry it out until they feel better for a bit.
4. Massage their heads. Stress sometimes bring a lot of headaches.
5. Cuddle with them. And a lot of cuddles. They need the attention and reassurance. Make them feel safe and not alone.
6. DO NOT. and i repeat. DO NOT EVER tell them there is nothing to be worried for. This actually makes them feel even worse. So don’t tell them what they’re stressing for is not worthy of being stressed over.
7. Talk to them if they need the distraction. They don’t have to answer back if they don’t feel like it. Just talk about anything light-hearted in general. And if they don’t wanna talk, just rub their backs gently.
8. Give them the stuffies while they’re doing the studying. It’s good to hug stuffies and it can relive the level of stress while studying.
9. Always keep an eye on how they’re feeling. Because when you’re stressed, your immune system is usually weaker, so make sure they’re not sick or something.
10. Bubble baths !! A good bath can always bring a smile !!
11. Sex is of course, a way to relieve stress. (Make sure it’s what they want, too.) Coz it can relieve the endorphins. However, make sure there is enough AFTERCARE. Give it hours even. Stress and insufficient aftercare is double the trouble. This may even cause huge subdrop.
12. Don’t let them hurt themselves. Be prepared for the mild mood swings. Be prepared for the tears. And be prepared of the little moods.
13. Take them to bed early, no matter what. Sufficient sleep can reduce the amount of stress, prevent depression, and restore energy, also gives a clearer state of mind. Bedtime !!!
14. This is a list of common symptoms of stress.
15. Tell them “you’re doing good.” “I’m proud of you.” “You’re okay.” and just be there for them.
