• Make them blanket nests – think pet beds, but big!

• Leash/collar them – it reminds your kitten that they’re owned and provides a feeling of safety

• Encourage kitten space – it will make your kitten feel safe and happy. Find out what brings your pet into kitten space and what keeps them there

• Give them treats – find out their favourite bite size snacks (such as crackers or candy) and use it as positive reinforcement for good behaviour

• Punish bad behaviour – it’s a given, but spankings/taking away electronics/other agreed punishments are important for their learning and development

• Learn to communicate with them – mews and purrs can be frustrating but pay attention and your kitten will use different sounds for different answers, learn what your kitten means
